At Beyond the Front Door OT, we help children build confidence through movement, play and everyday adventures. Nature is one of childhood's greatest teachers—encouraging movement, curiosity, confidence, and meaningful play while helping children develop the skills they need to thrive in everyday life.
Small groups give children the opportunity to practice important skills with same-aged peers in a fun, supportive environment where confidence, friendships, and independence naturally grow.
Playful Nature Therapy
Beyond the Front Door OT creates a joyful outdoor space where preschoolers grow through movement and play. In our small, nature-based groups, children build the confidence, social skills, and practical everyday tools they need to thrive. By exploring the world together, we turn every outdoor adventure into a meaningful opportunity to learn and connect.

Meet Our Therapist
Hi! I’m Rebecca, the occupational therapist and founder of Beyond the Front Door OT—a practice built around connection, confidence, and helping children discover their strengths through meaningful experiences.
I earned my Doctor of Occupational Therapy degree from Creighton University and have spent more than 12 years helping children and families thrive. My experience spans hospital, academic, and pediatric settings, giving me a well-rounded perspective on child development and the everyday challenges families face.
As a mother of four, including energetic 3-year-old twins, I understand firsthand the realities of raising young children. Motherhood has strengthened my passion for helping families with practical strategies that support children where they are and fit into everyday routines. I’m also a Certified Children’s Yoga Teacher and enjoy incorporating mindfulness, movement, and play into my work with children.
Outside of therapy, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my family, volunteering at my children’s schools and activities, gathering with friends and family, and serving as Cubmaster for our local Cub Scout pack. These experiences keep me connected to the importance of community, relationships, and creating opportunities for kids to learn and grow.
I believe children learn best when they are moving, playing, exploring, and engaged in experiences that feel meaningful. Through nature-focused, play-based occupational therapy, my goal is to help children build independence, confidence, and skills — while helping parents feel supported along the way. Many of these opportunities for growth happen just beyond the front door — through movement, exploration, connection, and everyday experiences that help children recognize their unique strengths and build confidence.
Our Small Groups
